Natural stone installations almost always require protecting with a sealer or impregnator before use, and indeed prior to grouting. Many customers are aware of this for Slate or Travertine floor installations, but it's equally important on for example a Tumbled Marble tile used on kitchen walls.

It's important for a professional installer to be familiar with the products used to protect new installations and it's an area where less experienced contractors can come unstuck.
